Breaking: Native video sharing now possible on LinkedIn mobile.

For a long time now, I have had to be sharing my Youtube videos by composing a post with the video link in it, or embedding the video in a blog post and sharing the post’s link in my status updates. I had always wished I could share my videos directly on LinkedIn or including it’s profile in my Hootsuite publishing schedules.

But now, at last I heave a sigh of relief because LinkedIn has jumped on the bandwagon of sharing native videos from its app. At least, this feature is now also available in Nigeria. You could either record a video or upload a pre-recorded one from your mobile device. The maximum length permissible for now is 10 minutes.

HOW TO SHARE VIDEO POSTS ON LINKEDIN

1. Visit your home screen when you are on the app. Click on the normal status update button at the bottom right:

2. Choose the video recorder button instead of the normal photo camera:
